ChasmJumpers Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 28, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to ChasmJumpers ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform (the "Service").
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Account Information: Name, email address, password, and security credentials used for platform access.
- Profile Preferences: Professional background, industry expertise and technical skills.
- Mission Data: Information provided during the "Mission Handshake," including tester justifications, founder instructions, and testing credentials.
- Structured Feedback: Responses to custom mission questions and structured feedback data mapped via JSON.
- Payment Information: Payout email address for delivering tester rewards via Tremendous (a third-party reward delivery service). Rewards are sent directly to testers — ChasmJumpers does not hold or store funds on behalf of users.
2.2 Information Automatically Collected
- Usage Logs: Records of actions performed on the platform, such as mission applications, approvals, and feedback submissions.
- Device Data: Information about the devices used to access the service to ensure compatibility with testing missions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Facilitate the "Mission Handshake" between founders and testers.
- Provide high-fidelity matching based on professional qualifications.
- Display structured mission layers (Instructions, Credentials, and Questions) to approved testers.
- Ensure secure and audited approval processes for mission participation.
- Process payments and rewards for completed missions.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
- Between Users: Founders can view tester profiles and justifications; testers can view founder mission instructions and credentials once the handshake is active.
- Service Providers: We share data with third parties necessary for operation, including Supabase/AWS for cloud hosting and Stripe/PayPal for identity and payment processing.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect platform integrity.
5. Data Security & "The Vault"
We implement technical measures to protect sensitive mission data:
- Tiered Access: Testing credentials and private mission details are encrypted and only revealed to testers with an "Active" status in our database.
- Row Level Security (RLS): We use advanced database policies to ensure users can only access data they are explicitly authorized to see.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information as long as necessary to provide our services and meet legal obligations. Even after account closure, some data may be archived as required by relevant jurisdictions.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access & Update: You can modify your profile and professional qualifications at any time through your settings.
- Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Data Portability: You may request a structured copy of your mission history and feedback data.
8. International Transfers
Your data is stored and processed exclusively on servers located in Canada, in accordance with Canadian privacy laws. We do not transfer your personal data to servers outside of Canada.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended for professionals and individuals over the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
